Why not poetry? 

Poetry is the step-child of the arts but fun and challenging to write and read.  Poetry renews language and records moods and emotions “normal” language often neglects.  To me, it is a creative force that pulls me along my day offering mystery and fun and challenge! 

Poetry is a way to use words wisely, economically and magically.

To quote Amy Lowell:  “Poetry is the most concentrated form of literature; it is the most emotionalized and powerful way in which thought can be presented”. 

“Poetry is life distilled”, Gwendolyn Brooks.
